希臘大知識家阿里士多德( Aristotle)寫的格言的英譯, “The fool tells me his reasons; the wise man persuades me with my own.”

"persuades me with my own (reasons)"意思是「用我的理由說服我」。

強行把自已的想法要別人接受是不智的,不能令人信服地去做好一件事;

" persuades me with my own.”
- persuades me to persist in with my own reasons

"the wise man"
- as used here, does not mean that there is really a wise man who persuades you to ...
- It means "the wise man's choice" (智者的選擇)

" the wise man persuades me with my own.”
