甚麼意思? 希臘大知識家阿里士多德( Aristotle)寫的格言的英譯, “The fool tells me his reasons; the wise man persuades me with my own.”
我的中譯是:
「愚昧人祇吩咐我他的理由；智者會用我的理由說服我。」
"persuades me with my own (reasons)"意思是「用我的理由說服我」。
全句格言是說:
強行把自已的想法要別人接受是不智的，不能令人信服地去做好一件事；
要先了解對方的想法，然後才能成功說服他去用合乎他想法的方式去做好那件事。
