mainly because if we don't study it, the thoughts in our heads will lead to many evils.
Without the bible, we cannot learn the wisdom of Jesus Christ.
The bible speaks of charity, helping the needy, and redemption of human being.
And most importantly, it speak of love from God and Jesus, and love between us.
It is important and critical for personal development and perhaps, mental health.
Furthermore, some students take religious studies as their one of their subjects at colleges,
so the bible will be needed for them.

Why Study the Bible?
Because it is The Key to a Meaningful Life. We must have a proper relationship with Jehovah, our Creator and heavenly Father.
“The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole obligation of man.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13).
The Bible says: “The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom.” (Psalm 111:10)
Obviously, we can neither fear God nor love him if we do not know him. That is why a study of the Bible is so important. Such a study helps us to understand God’s personality and to come to appreciate the wisdom of following his direction. As we draw closer to God, we want to do his will and we are motivated to keep his commandments, knowing that they will benefit us.—1 John 5:3.
