It is conceptualized with the idea of the packing ways based on the traditionally ancient snacks called “Shi-xiu-a”.
The illustrations in this book are meant to represent the production process of traditional snacks and the cultural background of the origins abundant in agricultural produce. Packing is centralized with wooden lacquer boxes, along with the elements of historical illustrations.
Hopefully, these snacks can not only be enjoyable but also educative.

台灣四秀仔:

古早台灣話的"四秀仔"即"零食"
以前的人用木製或漆器的木盒裝點心
可放四種不同的零食,這就是"四秀"名稱的由來～

The idea is originated from the traditional snacks. We put the snacks into the container which is divided into 4 compartments. We called this container as “shi shiou zai”.We express the procedure of making the snacks and the local culture by pictures of the book. The container is wood & lacquer basket with historic illustration. We hope the consumers not only enjoy the snacks but learn something.
