Present perfect tense:-
I have met;
It denotes present results of past actions,state of mind.
Note that the words' for' and 'since' are used.
eg:-I have met her before due to my bad memory;
--------------due to my inability to remember
--------------due to my inability to recall.
--------------due to my inability to retent.
-----I have met her before 'for' a certain period of time.
eg:-I have met her before 'since' we were in love.
When two actions happened in the past one after another, we use the past perfect tense for the first action.
eg:-had met;
eg:- I had met her before she left in politics !
