Is 2000 USD enough for a months' vacation throughout the States?

I'm planning for a vacation this coming Summer which is from July to August. I'll be staying in Newark/New Jersey for about 5-6 days, enroute on a drive towards New York. So after those days, I'll be heading off to Orlando, Florida for another couple of days probably 4-5 days; maybe en route to South Carolina for 2-3 days. Then I'm travelling to Little Elm in Texas and possibly to Houston or so. I'm only taking cheap flights which range about 100-150 USD, accomodations is only for South Carolina as I have relatives who live in Jersey, Florida and Texas. These 2000 dollars will be spent on expenses such as food, shopping etc, is this amount of money enough or should I bring more? Thank you!

No, it's not.

Hotels these days are closer to $100 per night in the midwest and much more near major attractions, unless you want to stay in complete fleebags.

Renting a car, public transport, and flights might cost you that much alone.

Disney World, if that's on your schedule can cost you $500 a day once you get in the park, pay for extras, food, etc.

Map out your stay, day by day. Breakfast in a restaurant can cost $15, lunch at McDonals is around $7 and in a restaurant like Chiles can be $25. Dinner even more.

You aren't exactly clear about what the $2000 is supposed to cover = why are the flight costs listed, if they aren't part of the $2000. Is this supposed to cover hotel costs when not with your relatives in SC?

If it's supposed to cover "everything" (flights, food, rental car, gas, food, etc), you have money for about a week for average spending.
