Many people don't realize that they need glasses or contacts until they go to the DMV and fail the vision test. Some accidents are caused by people with vision problems. It does not make sense to be driving a car and you cannot see anything. You need to have good vision to drive.
Your permit will be valid for a limited amount of time. Usually anywhere between 6 months - 12 months depending on your state as you did not tell us where you live. You will have to come back to DMV with corrective lenses and retake the vision test. If you pass the vision test with glasses or lenses on, you must always wear it every time you drive. There will be a restriction on your license that will say, "Must wear corrective lenses when driving." If a cop pulls you over without it, then you might as well enjoy paying big fines.
