h= -0.005x²+ x +3 <<< use ^2 or ² for squared, copy my symbol for next timethe axis is at the vertex (peak)
algebra: you can use -b/2a (from Quadratic formula)
calculus: find 1st derivative, set to 0 for peak
a) -b/2a = 1/.01 = 100ft
b) h = -.005(100) +100 +3 = 103 - .5 = 102.5ft
