chromebook pixel v.s. macbook?

Both are just overpriced to be honest.

If you're planning to buy either of the two, get a Mac. The Chrome OS isn't very stable and has some bugs which may annoy you for now.

But if I were you, I'd buy any Windows laptop that's not 8.0.
