Letx²y = mx + c be the equationof the st. line,
where m and c are constants.

Put x = -2 and y = 1 into the equation :
(-2)²(1) = m(-2) + c
-2m + c = 4 ...... [1]

Put x = 2 and y = 7 into the equation :
(2)²(7) = m(2) + c
2m + c = 28 ...... [2]

[1] + [2] :
2c = 32
c = 16

[2] - [1] :
4m = 24
m = 6

The equation : x²y = 6x + 16

When y = 10/x² :
x²(10/x²) = 6x + 16
6x + 16 = 10
6x = -6
x = -1

x²y = 6x + 16
Hence, y = (6x + 16)/x²
