Jody Arias:Death penalty or life sentence?

I am also against death penalties but I choose to prefer to allow effected families decide the penalties. In my opinion, life in prison is much worse than death, however, convicts have a hard time choosing this for themselves due to the survival mechanism, so they keep fighting for a life term. If you kill someone, their suffering is over with but making someone live out their remaining days in prison is torture so for that reason, I defer.

Life. I think the death sentence should be reserved for criminals who have long histories of violence plus a horrible act which is the final straw. I know this sounds cynical but in the off chance that he was not guilty of the final act he certainly is not innocent. Jody was convicted of only one crime.
