The place I am thinking of moving into is an apartment complex, not houses. So I don't think there are any extra fees involved.

My family knows an 95 year old that lives in one of those but its a really nice one on a small island. although it has a little strip of land built to it so cars can drive to it as its really near the mainland. All the houses and apartments on the island are neat and have super pretty gardens and its really really quiet. But I bet it must cost a fortune to live there!

You have to abide by rules set up by the Association. They control all aspects of outside appearances. Gardens, house color, where you can put patio furniture, whether you can fly flags or not, etc. The association maintains the yards and grounds so you don't have to cut grass or shovel snow again in the main. That is about the only advantage. They are meetings and you have to pay fees, of course. And go along with the majority decisions. A friend of mine lives in one with his wife and he's happy with it, personally I am an individualist and could never do that. I would rather hire someone to remove the snow. The lawn I have is small and I can handle it.

I'd hate listening to everyone complaining about Obamba.
