Protests against abortion were pretty much stopped by the government by using the RICO [organized crime] statutes against protestors. This was in the 1980sa and 1990s. By considring even nonviolent protestors as acting "in concert" with those who committed more serious violations, even when they had never met or communicated, they pretty much shut down serious pro-life activism.
