What should I do? Should I tell them the truth!!?A year ago,my parents used to lock me in any room of our house while they were going out..?

besides locking the main door of the house.Since they didn't want me to shut them out and be alone in my room even for a moment,when they were in the house, they used the same lock on the doors of the house to ensure that I couldn't do it and hide the keys.The unfairness of it all-always restricting me to stay in the house when I'd done nothing wrong, just because I'm a girl-made me so angry that I somehow broke one of the locks,found the keys for the others and hid them in different places.But they eventually found the keys and started imprisoning me again.Finally when I could stand no more,after a few months,I found them again and threw some with organic waste and others on the street.Now,the situation is a little better-they're not that mean to me,I can use the internet and be alone in my room-and as we're changing our residence,they say that they're going to need those keys for their limited valuables to not get stolen.I agree and they're running low on money and don't want to buy new ones.They're badgering me to give them back.Should I tell them the truth,"You caged me like an animal those days,didn't you? So I just threw them"? Or should I let them frantically search all over the house and waste their time because the other one will seem provocative to them to make my life hell no matter how I rephrase it? I really think that they deserve it but..I don't know what to do.Please pardon my English.
