If we cant digest sweetcorn why do we eat it?

we can't digest ANY fibrous vegetable matter , even cows that have three stomachs have to regurgitate their food and re-chew it and even then it is obvious from the output that not much of their huge intake is absorbed

Isn't it just the 'skin' around the individual pieces of sweetcorn that is indigestible?

I don't ever remember crapping out whole pieces of sweetcorn...

because it tastes great, it's only the skin not the whole sweetcorn however.
