how can I dye my hair blonde again?

Over a year ago I dyed my hair red. Then I dyed it black and it always fades to a light brown after awhile with a tint of red of course. But I want to put highlights in my hair and I notice every single time I put bleach on my hair it doesn't break down last the red so it turns out orange. Is there any way I can prevent this?

You'll definitely need to bleach it but the red tones are hard to get out so get to a good dye shop like sally beauty or a local one and buy a good toner to put on after the bleach. You may need to bleach Twice over a period of time and then apply a blond box dye from somewhere just like Walmart. Carefully bleaching!!
