When is the best time to drink coffee?

I go to the gym every morning to do a little cardio and strength training. Usually I have my coffee (black) then I eat a light breakfast and head out. Is it more effective this way or if I drink it after my meal?

before your workout because caffeine will give your work out a boost and raises metabolism. If you drink coffee after your workout, it will increase your cortisol levels which is bad.

Coffee first thing in the morning is the best. You shouldn't have a light breakfast before training, you want more carbs and protein to get toned muscles, gradually get bigger. eat plenty of vegetables and fruit and meat, all the right stuff you need.
