A) Live somewhere else.

B) Use Cheater Plugs

C) Ask the landlord to update it, or add GFCI outlets.

You should not need to replace the outlets.

Those 3 wire adapters should be fine, odds are your electronics don't use too much current and may not need the ground connection the screw holding the cover plate provides.

It's easiest to use power strips...

You do not make it clear what your issue is.

If you are just worried about delicate electronics, buy a power strip with surge protection.

If you need to plug 3 prong into 2 prong, buy a set of adapters $10 for 10.

If you want an earth wire, buy a 3 prong outlet and install it. Your landlord will never notice. You will find the earth wire inside the electric box If I can do it, you can. You will need a screw driver and pliers. Just turn off the power at the fuse box before you start.

Use an adapter to conver your 3 prong plug to 2

Just get a power strip & adapter. Simple.

EDIT: DO NOT mess with anything in the breaker box. Big no no!

you should probably talk to your landlord about bringing the house up to code, so you can safely operate your various electronics without risk of shock or fire. i'm sure they don't want the place to burn just because they were too cheap to upgrade the house right!

in the mean time you can buy a power strip, cut the ground prong off the plug and use it as normal.

some electronics require earth ground and may not work right or at all for safety and liability reasons, it would be unwise to attempt to circumvent the safety features of that electronics device.

get a 6 outlet strip....break off the prong that plugs into the wall.......force the landlords hand...buy a pack of juicy fruit gum....have a chew....use the foil to ''pop'' the outlets...and short them out....black mark indicates a bad outlet and a fire hazard
