Computer virus need help please.?

My friend made a bat file and made it to where it shuts down my computer in 30 seconds and he added it to the registry and made it run on startup so I only get 30 seconds to delete it before i have to retry can anyone help me?

Well, that is a "simple" batch file written in Notepad, so here is the way to abort it Try going in cmd then type shutdown /a and press enter

Exactly correct, booting into safe mode is the best option to find the file and get it removed. Also scan your computer with an antivirus and restart it again normally.

Go into Safe Mode. Startup files shouldn't run there unless they are essential to Windows. Then delete it as normal.

Do you know the name of the file?
Boot in safe mode then search for the file and delete it. Use regedit to search the registry For it, probably in the Run section.
Alternatively, boot your computer from a live Linux cd and search using that.

my suggestion, because it's a friend's creation, it's probably not going to flag as a threat
take a USB, then install linux on it (cuz it's free), then boot from USB, and then view the files on the hard drive as external drive, and then delete it,
then afterwards, go back in, and since there is nothing to run, go into the register files, and delete it
