THAT is an opinion YOU will make yourself. For the rest, as in what facilites ect are there, Google Glasgow and look up the local city website for what is available.

I find a series of videos revealing Scotland's stunning landscape and well-known landmarks, with aerial photography. The first episode introduces cities like Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Depends on what you mean by 'good', and depends on who you ask ('good' is quite a subjective concept). Glasgow is a big city, it used to be the second city of the British Empire (although many cities had that claim). It is (or at least was) also an industrial city, which gives it a different feel compared to, say, Edinburgh; some parts of Glasgow are distinctly 'rough'. The climate is dreadful, it rains literally every other day on average, and the total rainfall is twice that of London. Oh, and you may find the natives' dialect quite 'interesting'! The university is the second-oldest in Scotland, and has obviously a strong and long pedigree and reputation.
