From "English Grammar in Use" - by R..Murphy, Unit 58 (Cambridge U. Press)
"I like doing something = I do it and I enjoy it.
I like to do something = I think it is a good thing to do, but I don't necessarily enjoy it."
不可能 說 "I liked playing football." 是錯

句子 "I got one of my feet broke" ~ 錯, 應用 broken

"... could not mend the foot."
mend (transitive verb) + socks, clothes, shoes, net, fence, puncture, roof, road, holes

Bee Gee 有首流行歌曲 #1 "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart"

No , you can't. You can say "I liked playing football but my left leg was broken.''

你確定 "I liked playing football."

錯。應為 I liked to play football。

I used to play football often. However, I got one of my feet broke, and the doctor said he could not mend the foot. Therefore, I could no longer play football anymore.
