Yahoo Answers is a question and answer site with 7 levels which are based on points.
Points are used to ask questions and to level up.
There are points for every action taken on here.
Some actions you gain points and some you lose them.
The more points you accumulate, the higher your level and at higher levels, you'll be able to ask, answer and rate more frequently.
Asking a question costs you 5 points so if you have less than that you will not be able to ask a question.
It is better to answer than ask at first.
You can take the guidelines quiz and get 20 points (one time only) when you pass.
That will also help you know what is OK and what is not.
