did breaking brackets delay your treatment?

so this is my first question on yahoo.
please be nice :)

i just broke my third bracket and the first time i broke it was me being careless the other two occasions was an accident and not my fault. have you broke any brackets before? if you did, did it delay your treatment and how long was it delayed for? my ortho said im going to have braces for 18 months .
since its Christmas break i cant make an appointment until 5th January. The broken bracket is not bugging me
