I am bored with the seasonings I normally use: Lawry's Seasoning Salt, garlic and black pepper. I was hoping that someone could provide some neat suggestions.

My favorite and easiest recipe for tilapia is to spread a about a teaspoon of mayonnaise over each tilapia filet. Then mix about 1 tablespoon of seasoned bread crumbs with 1 teaspoon of grated parmagiano or grated pecorino cheese per fish fillet and press the bread crumb mixture gently onto the top of the fish. . Bake the fish in preheated 375F (190C) oven for about 20 minutes.

Talapia is pretty much a blank canvas. Mild so you can do whatever you like.
If you have a coating that you use for chicken use that. If you have a coating you use for pork use that.
Try a mix of corn chips crushed up, add some lemon zest or lime zest.
Try panko bread crumbs that you add some grated Parmesan cheese to. I know that it is usually frowned upon to use cheese with fish but since the talapia does not have a pronounced flavor I think it would work.
Try a tempura batter, I know you are probably doing the fish for a lower calorie meal but you could try a shallow fry rather than a deep fry and once in a while shouldn't be too bad.
An "old school" coating would be crushed potato chips the buttery crackers might be a good coating as well.

Maybe try it with a sauce. For example an easy herb sauce you could make:
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons milk
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon dried herbs (like oregano, Italian herb mix, basil, etc)
Mix it together in a pot and heat over medium low heat until it's warmed up. Enjoy with your tilapia :)

Salt and pepper, and then lay some lemon slices on top.

Fresh lemon juice is my favorite after it is baked, maybe a touch of butter or garlic butter. Meyer lemons are sweeter and less acidic. Fresh shredded basil is another one for after it is baked.

Fresh ground black pepper is better than the ones that are already ground. Lemon pepper.

Paprika or smoked paprika.

Powdered rosemary, or ginger

Salad Supreme

Shrimp cocktail sauce

Top with a fresh Mexican salsa or pico: cabbage, white onion, tomato, fresh cilantro or parsley, avocado, fresh lemon juices or rice vinegar, season with salt & pepper if you like, optional: red bell pepper, finely diced jalapenos, or pepperoncini.

In a covered dish, slices of lemon, orange and white onions underneath and on top of the fish, optional: most of the herbs and spices listed above. Fresh thin sliced garlic and/or ginger is good too.

Make the fish (I prefer to pan fry it). Meanwhile in a small pot combine 1/4 cup olive oil, a tablespoon of minced garlic and 3/4 cup Panko crumbs. Stir fry constantly over medium high heat until browned, about five minutes. Spoon the mixture over the cooked fish. This makes a very crunchy fish. This recipe adapted from Holland American Lines.

How about a nice meditterranean seasoning? Minced onions. Maybe half a chopped tomato. Basil. Salt pepper and olive oil. Maybe squeeze a bit of lemon on after.
