the lower limit = measured value - maximum errorthe actual limit = measured value + maximum error
maximum error = scale / 2
27500L(cor.to the nearest 10L)
maximum error = 10L / 2 = 5L
so, the lower limit is 27495L, the upper limit is 27505L.
27500L(cor.to the nearest 100L)
maximum error = 100L / 2 = 50L
so, the lower limit is 27450L, the upper limit is 27550L.
12.5mm (cor.to 3 sig.fig.)
maximum error = 0.1mm / 2 = 0.05mm
so, the lower limit is 12.45mm, the upper limit is 12.55mm.
14000km (cor.to 2 sig.fig.)
maximum error = 1000km / 2 = 500km
so, the lower limit is 13500km, the upper limit is 14500km.
