As empire said, you did put this in the mathematics section. But I'd choose 2 if it had to be an integer. First prime and all that.

My favorite number between 1 and 9 is probably φ, the golden ratio.

φ ≈ 1.618 and has a lot of really nice properties.

You did ask this in the math section after all!

If I absolutely HAD to choose an integer, I guess it would be 8. Just 'cause.

1 is my favorite no because it is most universal for application in digital language of computer programming, it is the smallest integer and any no multiplied by 1 remains unchanged and thus it is a noble no like noble gas , any no be small or large becomes smaller than its phase value when they show their ego to no 1 who by inversing make them realize that 1 is mightier than them
