okay I was just askinh because my dad wanted to move there next summer but he wasn t sure if I was a good place. so is it?

If you have a good income and live near a beach, the harbour or the city, it's up there with the best. If you have a low income and live way out in the western suburbs it can be as miserable as anywhere.

It's a great place to live. A couple of years ago, the BBC did a series on the great cities of the world. The cities they chose were London, Paris, Rome, New York, Hong Kong and Sydney. It is Australia's oldest and largest city. It has plenty to see and do and is probably the most beautiful of the capital cities with the possible exception of Hobart. If anywhere in Australia can be close to anywhere else (it's a big country) Sydney would be that place.
