Does suffering focus on the person, or does the person focus on suffering?

Suffering certainly does not focus on the person, everyone gets some. Some do seem to get more suffering heaped on them, but that too is subjective.

Sadly, some folks do focus on the suffering in their lives, to the point that they can no longer even perceive the joy and happiness that is also present.

The person focuses on the suffering for the other would just be too negative overall.

Hinduism says that suffering focus on the person and the concept is called Karma.

The person focuses on the suffering, there is no choice there, thats natural. If the suffering focuses on the person there is no way out, its likely to be fatal.
