Americn police yes metal cases with guns at best. Were I live now outside America no we have good police here.

No why should you be scared of someone who is in uniform and is supposed to help people? i dont think anyone should fear the police yet alone be in a country were the police are feared

they act with near total impunity
there are ample cases of police doing the wrong thing and whats worse being backed up by their colleagues when allegations are made
just enough cases of video footage mysteriously being deleted when its needed most
in many respects thats the problem .. the culture of having each others backs against all criticism
if that culture could be turned around the genuine police would get the respect they likely are truly entitled to

No.. Most people are worried that they are doing something wrong and don't want to get pulled over but I don't think people are really afraid they are just afraid of the tickets.
