why is a triangle known as the minimum polygon?

Coz polygons r formed by straight lines with more than 1 angle

2 straight lines can only form parallel lines , crossed lines or 1 angle only
but not any polygons

Because you can't have a polygon with only two sides.

In Euclidean geometry, based on straight lines and planes, it isn't possible to enclose an area with fewer than three sides.
