what does it feel like to work in a ages care?

I have no idea.
Most people that I know who work or have worked in caring for the aged
have worked as a volunteer prior to taking a full time job in the industry,
so that they had some idea of what to expect.
When I have visited care homes, I have come across two types of folk
working there. The first are those with a sense of vocation who do appear
to empathise with older folk and do actually "Care".
The second are those who simply see care as a means of earning a
living to keep the wolf from the door and are not true carers just doing
the basics and hoping that is enough !
