118分可算是僅僅合格, 以你學了1年3個月來看, 只屬一般。皇家音樂考試計分方法 :
Piece A 佔 30分 (20分合格)
Piece B 佔 30分 (20分合格)
Piece C 佔 30分 (20分合格)
Scales 佔 21分 (14分合格)
Sight Reading 佔 21分 (14分合格)
Aural Test 佔 18分 (12分合格)
總分 150分 (100分合格, 120分良, 130優)
各Part 相加有100分就合格

其實，不要怪我說話十分直接，我認為你真的有進步的空間：
首先，講講評分標準：
150-full mark
130-distinction
120-merit
100-pass
lower than 100-fail
Pieces A to C (90marks @30marks pass-mark:@20)
Scales (21marks pass-mark:@14)
Sight-read (21marks pass-mark: @14)
Aural (18marks pass-mark: @12)
其實三級的歌也不太難了，對一般人來說拿到125分也不難(當然你學得不太耐，自然掌握得沒有那麼好，接近125分也OK)，而如果你比多D心機，又學耐D，練多D，130-135也有可能的。因為你一開始三級如有130-135，每級最差假設跌五分(因為越來越難)，到八級時仍有105-110分，也是不錯的成績。
所以，一句總結：加油！

Marking scheme: 100 marks are required for a Pass, 120 for a Merit and 130 for a Distinction.
A Pass in each individual section is not required to pass overall. See pp. 42–43 for the marking criteria used by examiners.

Your score is not really high.but never mind ,you have only learn for not a long time.
You may find out what is your weakness and improve it then you can get higher marks next time !
