As early as 100 B.C., during the Han Dynasty, Chinese traders were transporting goods along the Silk Road. Under the Tang Dynasty in the eighth and ninth centuries, trade along the Silk Road reached its height. Describe the importance of the Silk Road in the exchange of goods and ideas during this time.
