I'm thinking that the water line your'e talking about, is just a tube coming up through the floor, or out of the wall, right? No shut off valve in sight? You'll have to find the other end of that water line, be it in the crawl space, or basement, or wherever, to get to that valve. Once you find the valve, shut it off, and just cut the line, and pull it up through the floor or wall, and move your fridge. You will, most likely, have the job of connecting a new water line to the new fridge, cuz they won't do it unless the valve is right there for the connection. Fridge water line kits are available at, Ace Hdwe, Loews, Home Depot, etc.

On the Internet. Look on the edge of the refrigerator door for the Model Number. The manufacturer's name is usually on the front door. Then do a web search using that name and model number and the word "manual". Some websites charge to get manuals, but you should be able to find a free one. Start the manufacturer's website.

UPDATE: Click on the link below for non-model specific instructions on disconnecting a Kenmore refrigerator from the water line. Good Luck!!!
