i saw my gp last week as my right breast has been feeling very achy, heavy and slightly tender, when she examined me she said she could feel "something" but she said it did not feel like a lump but more like nodules,i am booked in for a scan on thursday but am terrified it is cancer,3 years ago my sister was 34 (same age as i am now) and she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer so i have been even more scared thinking i now have it too..3 years ago i had a breast scan as i had the same problems as i do now with the heavy, achy feeling in that breast and the scan was clear and normal but back then the gp could not feel anything but this time she said she can feel what feels like nodules and im terrified,i am also naturally lumpy as i am a biggish breast size 42dd (uk sizing) and the gp really did have to push her fingers right in to be able to feel these nodules, there is nothing obvious,no discharge, swelling, rash etc and she also said she was not overly worried it was anything sinister but given the nodule and my sisters history she referred me but im still so worried, any advice/opinions as im going out my mind and i have 4 children and i have been such a sad mummy this last week :( my sister had a negative gene test which was good and probs means i am at low risk
