It's your height. You need to be a minimum of 5'7''. Though one or two are short at 5'6''.
Designers make dresses and the models have to fit the sample sizes, not the other way around, and they don't want their clothes dragging on the ground.
You could try for maybe a hair model, or a makeup or hand model. While not as glamorous, they make pretty good money.
I come from a family that's had models in it for three generations. You don't have to be pretty, they can and do paint that on. You do have to be tall to be successful. That's just the fact of it.

You just need to be tall to succeed as a model - if you can grow a bit you can definitely become one.

You may have all the qualifications of a 'model', but you've got 10,000 to one chance, they may even cut your hair into a Pixie style.

The best way to deal with modeling agencies is by contacting your area that is local and have a good record through the Better Business Bureau, not online. I went to a poise & charm school, back in the 70's, and wasted my money because they didn't promise they'll give me a job, but I learned something from it.

Its not right that you need to be tall, for a catwalk model then yes maybe you have to be a certain size and shape but for catalogue modelling and magazines a pretty/photogenic face is worth more.
The camera has to love you and you have good bone structure and nice eyes, one of two key features.
