Can we all agree that Adam and Eve were Asian?

Genesis 1 states that the garden of Eden is located where the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers meet.

The rivers meet in Al-Qurna, Iraq. There is a park there known as Adams Tree park.

This is right on the boarder of Iraq and Iran. Therefore, Adam and Eve were of Asiatic Origin.

Who disagrees?

I disagree they were clearly of fictional descent.

I disagree because though Christian, believe the Bible fully, I believe also in evolution and the Our-of-Africa origin of man. "Wait a minute, you just said you believe the Bible FULLY," I do, I just dont interpret it like a Creationist whose faith is more grounded in the literality of the story of Creation rather than in Christ Jesus.

If the Adam and Eve story were to be correct and the garden of Eden was in modern day Iraq, then Adam and Eve, like Jesus Christ and St Paul, were Asians. As it happens, the Adam and Eve story is incorrect, it never happened but Christ and his Apostles were all Asian.

No

It does not

Sorry but the word "tigris" doesn't occur in the KJV.

Scripture states that God created Adam in some undisclosed location and then moved him "eastward" into Eden.

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Gen 2:8 ¶ And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Sure, while we are at it we might as well agree that Africans are people too

I would say Black skinned seeing the oldest DNA sample found was a woman from the horn of Africa area. Scientists called her Eve

I disagree with your description of Eden. The Bible does not describe it as the place where those two rivers meet but - rather - as the place where those two rivers **originate**.

Otherwise, I agree. (Those two rivers originate in eastern Turkey, which is part of Asia).

Good argument. But they are the stuff of legend, not history.

Civilization and origin stories originated there and two other places in the world. Humanity was around much, much before civilization, though.

Those countries aren't asian. They are middle eastern , Ethiopian , Israel, African, some of the countries are called by different names now. Babylon, Persia . they say the garden is in Zion ( Gods mountain) in Jerusalem in Israel. The orginal garden was destroyed by the flood. Read the Garden of Eden has been found.

Very possible, but would that be more Arabic?
2014-10-14 11:28 pm
no they where black

.
Totally disagree - - -

They were mid-brown in skin colour, and carried the genes for all the varieties of human skin colour we have today.

BTW, No one know exactly where the Garden of Eden was as that land does not exist today, having been destroyed by the Great Flood of Noah.

Lets see does it matter a hill of beans,.,,,

No

But since the garden was in the continent of Asia....sure

And the flood that took over the whole world doesn't mean anything to you? The Midwest in the US used to be underwater. Do you think the Mississippi was still chugging along as the Mississippi back then too?

No logic behind your thoughts. At best, someone named new rivers after rivers they knew from their ancestors. For all we know, Cleveland might have been the original Garden of Eden. ;)

Nope.
