一般是指同等或平衡的"關係"-有點是中文伙伴的"關係"
但是假如想講"因果的關係"則要用correlation這個字。

這句是講任何一個國家和全人類(當然句中的people可以是規範為那國家的人民)
所以用詞上people可以/可能改為the citizens.

correlation這個詞的句式是可以像你原句correlation between x and y.不過由於x跟y在這裏不是互動相互同等影響或做成共同因果，所以通常寫correlation都會是x on y - 指由x引致y的改變。

ideology社會學的名詞是叫"意識形態"，原於這字的原意"理念"和"理想"或甚至是"空想"的超然意識投射一種高尚或理念化的理論。
所以用在你這句表達人的思維或想法便較為學術性和超出現實，表達人們/人類的想法應該是現實的真實的"取向"。所以我用MINDSET(思維...意念...理想)。

ideology 是指意識形態，不是　人類既思想。
