First of all, I dont understand the difference.
Heres my sequence
4, 7, 10, 13
I got two formulas
4n-(n-1)
and
3n+1
I dont know if one of these are a recursive or a closed formula. Or if they are the same?? Please Help!!! Thanks!

You might find you have more answers, if you put this in the appropriate area - YA just picks up 'formula' and if you don't alter it, it goes directly into Motor Sports - F1!!

They are the same. 4n-(n-1)=4n-n+1= 3n+1
