機場禁區裝修工墮地亡
【本報訊】赤鱲角香港國際機場於2012年10月25日凌晨發生奪命意外，一名顧家裝修工人在離境禁區的商舖，爬上工作台安裝假天花時，上層工友爬下飲水，疑令工作台失平衡翻側，他由三公尺高處墮下，頭部着地重創昏迷，送院證實不治，妻子及陳弟趕至醫院已陰陽分隔，悲痛欲絕。
勤奮顧家 遺下妻子兩兒
死者陳永志（四十一歲），受僱於裝修工程公司，與妻育有兩名分別三歲及十六歲兒子，一家四口居於葵涌邨綠葵樓。陳生活雖不富裕，但家庭幸福美滿。陳妻稱讚丈夫十分勤奮及顧家，每到出糧日，都會將薪金悉數留作家用。
陳於2012年10月24日晚與廿多名工友到香港國際機場客運大樓七樓離境禁區內開工，期間在一間商舖內安裝假天花，他與一名工友爬上工作台上，他站於中層約三公尺位置，工友在頂部做其他工作。
