Okay this sounds weird. Last year my cat who was my best friend passed away suddenly. I have another cat who hangs out with me more than other family members.
Anyway so before she passed the spot in the corner of my bed in between the walls and me was where she slept every night. Sometimes my other cat would sleep there too. Ever since she passed he refuses to even touch that area. He freaks out and jumps away from it. He once tried to get to my pillow from the side of the bed but the corner was in the way so he leaped over it and plopped down immediately. It's weirding me out, thoughts?

I felt sorry about your cat.Let me tell you an example. My aunt had five cats once. One day, one of her cats had passed away(died because of cancer) but the other cats didn't acted that weird. I think that maybe that area still have the smell of your cat who passed away. Therefore, he refuses to sleep or to touch that place anymore. Anyway, it really sounds weird and a bit scary.
