Playstation 2 shutdown?

I was wondering if there is a shutdown process for the playstation 2. Was playing a game when i finished. I backed out to the start up screen. But could not find anything about exitgame. So i just powered it off and hit the eject. Button oh i didn't say this is a Playstation 2 fat. Don't know if that matters. Anyway. Thanks for any help.

It doesn't matter. So long as you've saved the game and it finished saving, it's fine. You can use the power / reset button or eject any time so long as it's not loading or saving data.
