After some years I can count the number of Hindu questions on the fingers of one hand. Muslims are here much more often and most often with ridiculous claims about science in the Koran. I have never seen a Jewish question and perhaps one or two Buddhist. The degree of utter cluelessness from many of the Christians, not only about atheism but even their own religion is stunning.
If it were not for the atheists and a few others this category would be almost entirely gormless, ignorant, teenage "Christians" exchanging misinformation.

Two reasons:
1/ In the western wqorld, where most of us are, Christianity is the dominant religion and therfore the prime target.
2/ Christians are most vocally anti-Atheist, and therefore the ones we have to get to shut the hell up.

For starters, atheists are mostly in the western world where also christendom happens to be the most relevant religion.
Secondly, and even more importantly, atheists on YahAns are most of the time simply responding to questions by you christians, questions that all start of exactly like Yours; "Athiests, why...", "Atheists, when..." "Atheists, if...", "Atheists, how..."
You christians are constantly going about With these questions directed at us atheists, and when we answer you you tend to make yourselves victims, claiming that we're stalking you and that we can't tolerate you. But you are the ones who invited us to answer you, so your logic here remains missing, as always...

Atheists on this site mostly talk about Christianity because that's the religion most familiar to them since this site's audience is mostly western. Mystery solved, for maybe the hundredth time since this question was first asked.

Christians have been dominating my country and interfering in peoples live choices for over 800 years, we still have many laws set by Christian dogma.

The appalling attitudes and behaviour of the BAD Christians!
Look at the terrible intolerance, hatred, bigotry, homophobia and persecution they post!
England's Archbishop of Canterbury has said that Christianity is now known for it's hatreds and not about god!
Taking one sin to indulge in intolerance, hatred, bigotry, homophobia and persecution will never be acceptable in the eyes of God!
Anglican leaders from around the world have clearly stated their opposition to the "victimization or diminishment" of gays and lesbians, saying demonizing and persecuting them was "totally against Christian charity and basic principles of pastoral care".
"We say that no one should have to live in fear because of the bigotry of others."
ALL the other religions and atheists live in peace and are ONLY attacked by BAD Christians which causes all GOOD Christians to despair at the damage they do!
The self destruction of Christianity is underway and the only thing that can stop it is to abandon the terrible human emotions, seek to rediscover the idea of a loving god and act like it!

Historically Christianity has been the primary religion in Western countries for several centuries. Growing up in such a country means that my experience is centred on Christianity.
I'm equally critical of all religions; it's just that Christianity is the most discussed on this site

1.) It's not "censuring" to insist on evidence before we'll take you or your imaginary friend seriously; stop playing the victim.
2.) This is confirmation bias on your part -- most of us speak out just as energetically about other religions, but you don't notice because it doesn't affect you.

I don't. But Christians are the ones who ask most questions of atheists so they get most of my answers. But if you check my answers to Muslims I'm just as harsh about Islam and some Muslims as I am about Christianity and some Christians, and go out of my way to stick up for some Christians and Christianity as much as I do some Muslims and Islam when they're unreasonably or hypocritically attacking each other...

Because in America, christians are the only ones attempting to input their belief system into our laws. I've never seen a Jewish, Muslim, Wiccan, or any other religious person with signs, protesting abortion clinics, fairy festivals and the like. They're the only ones I've seen who try to convert people, hilariously pushing more people away than they are bringing them in.

This is an English language board and the vast majority of religious posters here are Christians. When questions from Muslims come up we address them the same way. Despite the fantasies of Christians who think we're singling them out, we treat all religions the same.

Christianity is the worlds largest religion and certainly the main religion where I live. When I have finished destroying it I will happily move on to the next on the list.

I am an equal opportunity censurer, all religions are equally ridiculous doctrinally, (though modern Christianity's semantic hoop jumping to make Jesus god is particularly absurd). Saying that, it is Christianity that has the greatest negative impact on my life, so it is logical that I comment on that mostly.

It's because of the unique persecution complex most christians seem to have. So when anything is said about "gods" or religion, no matter how generic, they see it as a personal attack against their religion, and only their religion. I live in the US. It is a violation of the Constitution here to have things like government employees sanctioning certain religions. Yet this country is mostly christian. So they're pretty much the only ones trying to violate the Constitution on religious issues. So when we point out things like that it's ILLEGAL to have a public high school's football coach, who is a government employee, leading his students in religious prayers and ceremonies it's just "censoring christianity"........... Idiots. Yet if that high school coach happened to be muslim and was having his students face Mecca before every game they'd be raising he**. "Censoring christianity" as you call it is in reality ensuring that ALL religions have equal and fair access, and that none get preferential treatment. Of course christians and their insane level of hypocrisy and narcissism just can't grasp that. Luckily almost all of the founding fathers of this country were NOT christian, and had seen first hand the violence and actual persecution that results whenever you have a state sanctioned religion (ANY religion) so they wrote that out of this country. Unfortunately in the years since christians have fought very hard to overturn that and seek preferential treatment in this country.

I agree that all religions are illogical. However, I have yet to see a Hindu badger people into following their religion.Keith Ellison, a Muslim Congressman, has yet to propose a law outlawing pork. None of the Jewish lawmakers who've served in Congress have ever proposed a law outlawing shellfish. Christians in the U.S., on the other hand, do try to legislate their religious beliefs (in contradiction of the Constitution, I might add), and try to force their beliefs down other people's throats. They earn every bit of censure they get.

Largest society to knock down, if we can get the modern countries to wake up and stop relying on fantasies to save us then we can actually work together on real problems.
Muslims and Jews are fighting in Palestine already, often those races are frowned on by a large number of Americans, whom of which are quite a large population of the Christian faith. Secure America, then you can evolve a good portion of the planet.

Trust me, I jump on any faith that 1) wants to prevent their belief as 'fact' to me, and 2) tells me that if I don't follow them, then I'm in trouble. They can all go and get bent, and I'll tell them as much. I've had death-threats personally e-mailed to me by Muslims I've upset, so I know I'm not wasting my time.

It was christians that lied under oathin court to get their fantasies forced into my class rooms, not other religions. It is christians that tried to force through prop 8 not other religions. It is christians that refuse to sell to people they do not like, not other religions.
