有些部份Jacob網友的說法比較正確
但是有些可能不是非常正確
1)
我的locate的用法是不及物動詞,當作”定位”
雖然正確,但是的確是比較口語的用法
Jacob的用法比較好

以問題的句意來看
第一句”他們在…玩著..”
似乎是現在進行式,而非Jacob網友寫的過去式
當然這有語意的問題
要看發問者了,中文這樣的說法
如果要說那是陳述過去的事實的一個時間點
好像也不是不行

個人認為是應該用的是”現在簡單式”
因為那顯然是一種”經常性的事實”
(玩投圈圈的人”都會”盡量想投中遠的獎品)

關於”比較遠的”的用字
Jacob網友用的是further
這一點應該是有些問題的
因為在英文裡
farther 和 further 雖然意思都是比較遠
但是farther是偏向用來形容”實體”的距離
而further是偏向用來形容”抽象”的事情的程度

Tim 真是客氣. 時態上, 因為從中文看不出來, 只要前後一致就可. 第三句我有一點點意見. They will try to ... 是他們將試著... They were willing to 是 他們願意去... 都和中文的意思:"他們想要"有一點點差異. 我想, They are trying to 或是 They tried to 可能比較貼近.

通常會使用過去式的陳述來表示他們當時的狀況。
第二句不算句子，所以就沒有加上句點。
