想問有關海外升學問題(心理科)20點

1) 已經有意去海外報讀心理科同埋搵緊心儀既學校,但我聽聞外國大學既心理學科只收理科生,所以想確認下是否真有其事.

>> 我只知道英國既psycho, 所以可以以英國既標準話你知既,我身邊好多朋友都係大學讀psycho, 佢地中學果時都冇話特別以理科做主, 因為英國唔係好同hk, 到左f.6/f.7 果時, 學生都仲可以揀佢地想讀既科, 唔駛話一定要偏向理科, 又或是一定要讀文科, 所以點樣樣都係OK 既. 有一d 學生佢地會揀係中6/7果時讀bio, 因為覺得咁對讀psycho 會有幫助, 但唔係一個must.

2) 但唔知外國嘅大學(如英美加等)嘅收生要求係咪同香港嘅收生要求一樣,都係文理生照收,定還是係間間都唔同?

>> 以英國做例, 佢地文同理都會收既, 係英國, 好多high school 係f.6/7果時可以俾學生揀讀psycho, 所以如果有讀過而成績又唔差的話, 會有個好少少既印象, 但唔係一個must, 如果你學校冇得讀, 又或是你冇讀過, 你就要係personal statement 入面話到俾大學聽, 你點解咁想讀呢一科, 做左d咩去了解呢一科.. 而每間大學要求既成績同埋有冇讀過咩指定既科都係唔同既, 可以上去大學果邊check 下.

3) 如果真係只收理科,香港有無咩課程報讀係可以用黎轉科?

>> n/a 因為外國大學唔係咁注重呢一樣野丫.

4) 定係一定要過去外國讀foundation?

>> 如果你成績好, 係唔駛讀foundation 既, 直接用dse成績入就可以, 英國好多大學都係睇dse 成績. foundation就好似hk 既ive 咁, 成績唔係好入到大學既先會讀, 讀完再睇下上唔上到year 1.呢個唔係一個must. 有一d agent 同foundation 既學校有contact 所以會游說你讀foundation (因為大學要靠自己成績入, agent 同大學有幾好關係都冇用). 所以呢個你要留意.

1. Yes and no.

Yes - due to the exam design, traditionally sciences students tends to have a higher score in HKCEE/HKALE. Since HKDSE is developed based on HKCEE/HKALE, it is not difficult to imagine sciences students will have a higher score in HKDSE as well.

In many instances, psychology is a popular major. In that case, sciences students will have an advantage based on the results (not the choice of exam subjects) over arts students.

No - A lot of overseas students will end up in a bridging program (like foundation program, community colleges, etc.) In that case, their chance will be even after the program.

2. See #1 above. However, you have made a mistake. Except for clinical psychology (sciences), all psychology concentrations are arts.

Also, a lot of things you have mention is not even a concentration.
