Is it normal to hang my underwear dry in a dorm room when I have a roommate?

I wash my bra, underwear etc in every shower because I cannot wait for the once-per-week laundry of my boarding house. To dry them I have to hang them somewhere in my room, but is it normal to have them visible? Will my roommate mind seeing my underwear hanging on the wall?

Not to be a prude, but you should be more protective in your modesty. There's got to be a way that you don't have to leave your personal items in common areas. Just remember your roommate may say it's ok now. But he or she may start doing things you are not totally comfortable with and you don't want to invite those issues with boundaries.

Ask the roomate. I wouldn't have a problem with it.
