JW's, a question pertaining to 1 Corinthians 8-10?

Per your 1st question we, of course translate this verse to read Lord. The Greek manuscripts differ regarding this verse.

9. tempt Christ—So the oldest versions, Irenæus (264), and good manuscripts read. Some of the oldest manuscripts read "Lord"; and one manuscript only "God." If "Lord" be read, it will mean Christ. As "Christ" was referred to in one of the five privileges of Israel (1Co 10:4), so it is natural that He should be mentioned here in one of the five corresponding sins of that people. In Nu 21:5 it is "spake against God" (whence probably arose the alteration in the one manuscript, 1Co 10:9, "God," to harmonize it with Nu 21:5). As either "Christ" or "Lord" is the genuine reading, "Christ" must be "God." Compare "Why do ye tempt the Lord?"

Every translator will testify to the importance of context in determining the correct translation of Scripture. We feel the context makes it clear that “Lord” is the correct reading. Although there are dozens of times that the Israelites were said to tempt “God” or “the Lord” in the Old Testament, there is not even a single reference to tempting Christ. By reading the verse carefully, we obtain a vital clue to its meaning and the proper translation. The verse says that when the Israelites tempted the Lord, they were “destroyed by serpents.” This phrase allows us to find the exact record in the Old Testament that is being referred to. In Numbers 21:5, the Israelites “spoke against God” and then “the Lord sent venomous snakes among them.” In the record of this event in the Old Testament, “God” and Yahweh are both mentioned, but “Christ” is never mentioned. Furthermore, there is no scripture anywhere in the Old Testament that says “Christ” poured out his “wrath,” and certainly not by sending serpents. Thus, if some Greek texts read “the Lord” and others read “Christ,” the context points to “Lord” as the correct interpretation.

As for your 2nd question. I'm sure you are familiar with how we have translated it. 1 Corinthians 10:21, 22: You cannot be drinking the cup of Jehovah and the cup of demons; you cannot be partaking of “the table of Jehovah” and the table of demons. 22 Or ‘are we inciting Jehovah to jealousy’? We are not stronger than he is, are we?
Verse 22 is quoting Exodus 22:14 - quite obviously referring to Jehovah God.

But let me ask, do you feel the tetragrammaton or the divide name wouldn't have been in the NT? (Especially where people were quoting from the OT.) The earliest manuscripts we have are from 200 years after the originals were written. Honestly I couldn't begin to put it as succinctly as is written here:

The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures does not follow this common practice. It uses the name Jehovah a total of 237 times in the Christian Greek Scriptures. In deciding to do this, the translators took into consideration two important factors: (1) The Greek manuscripts we possess today are not the originals. Of the thousands of copies in existence today, most were made at least two centuries after the originals were composed. (2) By that time, those copying the manuscripts either replaced the Tetragrammaton with Kyʹri·os, the Greek word for “Lord,” or they copied from manuscripts where this had already been done.

The New World Bible Translation Committee determined that there is compelling evidence that the Tetragrammaton did appear in the original Greek manuscripts. The decision was based on the following evidence:

Copies of the Hebrew Scriptures used in the days of Jesus and his apostles contained the Tetragrammaton throughout the text. In the past, few people disputed that conclusion. Now that copies of the Hebrew Scriptures dating back to the first century have been discovered near Qumran, the point has been proved beyond any doubt.
In the days of Jesus and his apostles, the Tetragrammaton also appeared in Greek translations of the Hebrew Scriptures. For centuries, scholars thought that the Tetragrammaton was absent from manuscripts of the Greek Septuagint translation of the Hebrew Scriptures. Then, in the mid-20th century, some very old fragments of the Greek Septuagint version that existed in Jesus’ day were brought to the attention of scholars. Those fragments contain the personal name of God, written in Hebrew characters. So in Jesus’ day, copies of the Scriptures in Greek did contain the divine name. However, by the fourth century C.E., major manuscripts of the Greek Septuagint, such as the Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus, did not contain the divine name in the books from Genesis through Malachi (where it had been in earlier manuscripts). Hence, it is not surprising that in texts preserved from that time period, the divine name is not found in the so-called New Testament, or Greek Scripture portion of the Bible.

So according to the first question, 1 Corinthians 10:9 is speaking about Jehovah. If you read Numbers 21:5,6, you will see that some of the Israelites were putting Jehovah to the test. They were asking Moses such questions as: "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness?" Jehovah already promised them the Promised Land yet they continue to put Jehovah to the test. In response to this, Jehovah sent serpents to the people. These serpents bit and many of the Israelites perished.

Dont USE "LORD" title instead of GOD's Personal NAME = YHWH

Too much for one question. I will concentrate on the update. The Lord in this case, is Jehovah God Almighty. The King James and others substitute Lord and LORD for too many places where names, not titles are used. Mainly to confuse matters.

To the matter of jealousy, see Ezekiel 34:14 and Deuteronomy 32:14. Here Jehovah declares he requires,EXCLUSIVE devotion. He is a jealous God.

The verse highlights making a huge difference between pure worship Jehovah requires of those who worship him. Then there is false worship demons cause. Anything based or connected with pagan worship is demonic cups. Doctrines such as trinity, immortal soul, hellfire to name just a few. Easily seen better in the origin of all the holidays all being pagan. From this scripture we learn this is worse than worthless.

Please be more specific, chapter 8-10 cover a lot of in formation, making a broad statement does not give credence to whatever point you are trying to make!
I say the Bible is true, prove me wrong, that's a big chore!
