Sure...of

「sure of + 名詞」 是表示 「對該名詞所代表的事物很確定」，但本句 sure 後面接子句，不需要 of，而是省略連接詞 that:

I'm sure (that) the products were of real interest to many attendees.
我確定對很多參加的觀眾來說，這些產品很能引起他們的興趣。

子句裡的 of 是和 interest 一起的，與 sure 無關。

英語 of + 抽象名詞 = 形容詞，所以 were of interest to many attendees 就是 were interesting to many attendees，很多參加的人會覺得很有趣。 real 只是加強語氣而已。

因為這裡是用 「of ＋ 抽象名詞 interest」 的用法，所以 of 不能省略。

I'm sure the products were of real interest to many attendees.
我敢肯定的產品是真正的利益，許多與會者。
