英文句字加文法問題

2014-08-26 5:24 am
首先,He is fully aware of the risks incident to the life of a racing driver.
這句的of 是關於咁解? 咁of 係點分幾時解"的"同"關於"??
之後就是incident 是形容詞 放在後面是甚麼用法?

之後是i call you back 之句
為甚麼you後可以用副詞 上網睇話call you 係動詞 點解會咁 有特定文法?

最後, has been +ing 是不是被動句
我只知道has been + ed 是被動

英文不好 請見諒
可能問題有點多 不過盼望有人解答
萬分感謝

✔ 最佳答案
(1) He is fully aware of the risks incident to the life of a racing driver.

首先,你要知道這個句子省略了一些文字,把它放回去會更清楚:
He is fully aware of the risks (that) incident (poses) to the life of a racing driver.
他充分了解 '意外事故對一個賽車手的生命所帶來的' 風險。
'that incident poses to the life of a racing driver' is a relative clause 形容 'risks'.

pose (動詞):造成,帶來,構成
例: Accident poses high risk to the life of a racing driver.

incident 不是形容詞,是名詞 (the subject of the relative clause)。

preposition 'of':
1. aware of (特定片語) 解為: 了解, 知道
2. life of Sth. 解為: Sth. "的" 生命

特定片語: (specific collocation forming a phrase)
一些介詞會搭配其他的詞語(包括:動詞,名詞,形容詞),以形成特定的詞組。 例:

動詞片語 (verb phrase, or phrasal verb)
dispose of, accustom to, believe in, consist of 等等

名詞片語
difference between, attention to, reason for 等等

形容詞片語
aware of, proud of, ashamed of, capable of, different from, famous for 等等

咁of 係點分幾時解"的"同"關於"??
一般來說,解"的"的結構是: 動詞1 'of' 動詞2 ,而動詞2可以形成 所有格(possessive form). 最重要的是不斷地學習!

(2) I call you back.

'call back' and 'call somebody back' is a phrasal verb (動詞片語) formed by 'verb' + (object) + 'adverb'.
meaning: to telephone somebody again or to telephone somebody who telephoned you earlier

注意,'back' 後面不能有名詞

(3) has been +ing 是不是被動句 ?

不是。
has been +ing 是 現在完成進行式 的規格 (the format of present perfect continuous tense)

錯字:
名詞1 'of' 名詞2 ,而名詞2可以形成... (not 動詞)

第一句亦可以用被動語態:
He is fully aware of the risks 'posed by' incident to the life of a racing driver.

Thank you, EICA. You're absolutely right about the word 'incident' as an adjective, which I failed to find it in either Oxford or Longman dictionaries.
It is a good lesson learned.

2014-08-26 11:04:13 補充:
致歉: I was wrong about the first sentence. Thank EICA for his correction.
'incident' is an adjective, meaning 'naturally appertaining' (有關聯), 形容 'risks'

全句意思: 他充分了解 '作為一個賽車手與生俱來的' 風險。

注意,'back' 後面不能有名詞,否則,它變成介詞,有另一個意思。
