THE LARGER INTERGER IS :
(83+1)/2=42
Q3 LET THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT KATIE, FLORA AND SUSAN USED BE X,Y AND Z RESPECTIVELY.
X+Y+Z=500 }----1
X=2Y }----2
Y+50=X }----3
SUB 2 INTO 3
Y+50=2Y
Y+50-Y=2Y-Y
Y=50
SUB Y=50 INTO 2
X=100
100+150+Z=500
Z=250
SO SUSAN CONTRIBUTED $250
Q4 THE TOTAL LENGTH OF THE JOURNEY
4.2*(3)(4)/7*2
=14.4 KM
Q5 LET THE TEN DIGIT NUMBER BE X AND THE UNIT DIGIT BE Y.
THE ORIGINAL NUMBER IS : 10X+Y
THE NUMBER AFTER INTERCHANGED IS :10Y+X
10X+Y+10Y+X=11(X+Y)=121
X+Y=11
BECAUSE Y-X=3
