If you make a minor error on your passport application you should black out the mistake with a pen. Correcting fluid must not be used. Minor mistakes in section 10 must be initialled by the countersignature.
If a major error is made it is recommended that you complete a new application form.
Correcting errors in applications can only be made up to the point that you pay. If you have made an error and haven’t returned the declaration form and supporting documents please enclose a covering letter with them explaining what has happened. Please remember to sign and date this covering letter.
